Eligibility Criteria & Age Limit
- Candidate must be citizen of India.
- Candidate must complete Any Degree from recognized University.
- The age Limit for General Category : 21-26 years
- Age Limit for Cat 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B : 29 years.
- Age Limit for Category I/PWD : 31 years.
Qualification & Application procedure for Police Constable
- Candidates can apply only through online application available at the website of the Kerala Public Service Commission.
- Conventional type application for the post will be summarily rejected.
- Selection will be made on Battalion-wise basis. Candidates appointed to the Battalion will be allowed transfer only to the concerned District Armed Reserve Police.
- Method of Appointment : Direct Recruitment (Battalion wise)
- Age : 18-28 [Only Candidates who have complete 18 years on 1st January are eligible to apply for this post.]
- Physically Handicapped persons are not eligible to apply .
- Educational Qualifications : Pass in S.S.L.C or its equivalent
- Physical Qualifications for men :
(i) Height : 167 cm
(ii) Chest : 81 cm with a minimum expansion of 5 cm
(iii) Eye Sight : Must be certified to possess the visual standards specified below without glasses.Vision:a. Distant Vision b. Near Vision

- Physical Qualifications for women :
(i) Height : 152 cm

Left Eye: 6/6 Snellen 0.5 Snellen - Each Eye must have a full field of vision. Colour blindness, squint or any morbid conditions of the Eye or lids of either eye will be deemed to be a disqualification.
- Must be free from apparent physical defects like Knock-knee, Flat foot, Vericose vein, Bow legs, Deformed limbs, Irregular and protruding tooth. Defective speech and hearing.
- Must qualify in any five events out of eight events specified below for men
